2 B Theatre-In-Education specialises in drama-in-role workshops ideally suited for, although not exclusive to, Key Stages 2 & 3.
Our emphasis is on total immersion. Pupils take on and sustain a character, and depending on budget, we like pupils to wear appropriate costumes and use suitable props.
The technique places learners in a fictional yet safe environment with the intention of providing a more intimate understanding of a specified area of the curriculum, whilst at the same time developing social skills, creativity and self-confidence. We believe pupils learn so much from getting work on its feet, and drama can greatly developing understanding.
Workshops are tailored made to fit your budget, time scale etc. Recent workshops have included a World War One Trench day, and a close look at the characters in Roald Dahl's Matilda by placing them in a mock trial context. 2 B Theatre-In-Education is happy to come to you or, for even greater realism, workshops can be done in an appropriate off campus location.
